Considerable progress has been made in such areas as technology. The development of modern industrial instruments and meters not only depends on the product technology level, but also involves engineering application technology. By undertaking engineering applications of foreign control systems and products, these enterprises have mastered a number of large-scale engineering and installation self-control application technologies. However, with the development of foreign fieldbus, SOLUTION, MIV, EPC and other technologies and engineering assembly methods, the difficulty of China's automatic control system and field instruments entering large projects will further increase. The basic reason is that China's automation control system, field instruments and key precision test instruments still have a gap of 10-15 years from the international level. Many domestic technologies cannot compete with foreign technologies on the same platform. . China's breakthrough in instrumentation technology needs to pass eight major barriers.
Breakthrough 1: Improve product reliability
The overall characteristics of modern industrial instruments are high reliability, high performance, and high applicability. The gap between most products of Chinese enterprises and foreign products is also in this regard. For example, in China's self-developed distributed control system (DCS) and electromagnetic flowmeter, the basic performance and functions of these products are close to the international level, but there is still a certain gap in terms of reliability and engineering application capabilities.
 
Breakthrough 2: Improve the level of digitalization, intelligence and integration
The technical characteristics and trends of modern industrial instruments are digital, intelligent, networked and integrated, while most of our products are of conventional varieties, and intelligent products have just started. Taking nuclear power control systems and instrument integration as an example, since the foundation is weak, after entering the era of digital control technology, the gap is even greater.
 
Breakthrough 3: Improve high technology
Foreign intelligent actuators have adopted new technologies such as variable frequency speed regulation, new motors, low power consumption, miniature piezoelectric ceramic I / P converters, Bluetooth communication technology, intelligence, and fieldbus, but domestic technology has only just begun.
 
Breakthrough 4: Product precision is more precise
Taking the mass flow meter as an example, the measurement accuracy of foreign countries is divided into 4 grades, the highest accuracy and can measure the gas is 0.1, the most common is 0.15, and the domestic can only reach economical 0.2 and applicable 0.5 grade. Another example is that the measurement instruments at gas stations in China are generally 5% accurate, but the accuracy of 300,000 tons of foreign oil tankers delivered to China is 0.1%.
 
Breakthrough 5: Rich Variety Specifications
Taking high-precision intelligent pressure / differential pressure transmitters as examples, domestic transmitters lack products with specifications such as micro-low pressure below 1kPa, high differential pressure ranges above 800kPa, high static pressure above 16MPa, and corrosion resistance. Some engineering or system applications cannot meet the special requirements.
 
Breakthrough 6: Increase the degree of automation
For example, the high-performance photoelectric direct-reading spectrometer, the vacuum degree of foreign instruments is monitored by a computer in real time, while domestic instruments still require manual operation in many aspects.
 
Breakthrough 7: Expanding the share of high-end products
At present, there are few high-end products in our country, even blank. Taking the atomic absorption spectrophotometer as an example, there are high-end instruments for Zeeman background correction technology abroad, which have not been developed in China so far, and the high-end needs to rely mainly on imports.
 
Breakthrough VIII: Increase Market Share
Take programmable controller (PLC) as an example, currently more than 95% of the Chinese PLC market is occupied by foreign products. European and American products have an advantage in the field of large and medium-sized PLCs, Japanese products have an advantage in the field of small PLCs, and products from South Korea and Taiwan have a certain market share. The market impact of China's domestic independent brand PLC is very small, and it is difficult to form economies of scale. The instrumentation market is also as described above.
